Deviantart was for me a turning point in my career as a photographer. It was the first site i signed in to share my photographs and watch other photographs for inspiration.I would go to the popular section in search of inspiration and most of the photographs back then where outstanding.
Now days it gets harder and harder to see nice photographs in the popular section. For example right now in the popular for 8 hours the top 10 photos, 6/10 are either artist nude or cosplay .And that isn't something happens just now.For the last year this is the normal here.
Don't get me wrong i like artistic nude if it is artistic and not just a girl with legs wide open.As for the cosplay i like it as well if it is carefully executed and not just a girl with big boobs wearing a costume in a fair or comic-con (by the way most of the photographs in popular section are pretty good and doesn't help my case but this is only for today).
So what is the problem here?Have deviantart became too mainstream and the new fan base likes amateur boobs taken from an i-phone and girls wearing smaller superheroes costumes?Did Deviantart management  decided that these kind of photographs sell more so they promote them most?Did most of the photographers left deviantart for another site like 500px?
What do you think?

I agree that the photographers are going elsewhere. I don't post as much on here as I used to. I post either on my website, my Facebook photography page, Flickr.com or 500px.
I think the standards have gone down on DA. Its still a place to come too. But I think its lost its edge.
