No doubt, many stories could be told based on this image.
I've been where she sits. Thus, I'd like to think in terms of the foreboding sky along with the roar of the sea representing the turmoil of her life. The setting comforts her; allowing her to sense she's not alone. She's at a crossroad, one which she will navigate successfully.
