From the two similar portraits of Maria I've chosen to write a critique on this one, (no particular reason for the choice). Maria's image is excellent, the photography is clear and sharp. Her outfit is memorable, a mix of business formal and feminine informal, which is attractive and makes her appearance easy to appreciate. The camera's position is right, without cutting off the top of her head, or her fingers. Finally her pose is attractive and eyecatching, the tilt of her head, the sweep of her hair over her shoulder, one arm in the business suit in a relaxed position beside her naked thigh, and her gentle smile. I would have preferred her hair on the right side of her head to be pushed back so that both her eyes could be seen. The expression in a woman's eyes adds a lot to her overall appearance.
The background is interesting. The panorama of houses sweeping up the hill provides a pleasant backdrop for the model. Because they are not in focus the background does not distract the viewer from the model's appearance. Perhaps the focus could have been a bit sharper; more clarity would not have impacted on the model and would have made the entire image more pleasing to the eye. I believe the model is in the right position, off centre so the hills in the distance can be seen, thus completing the background panorama.
I think the main part of the image that I don't approve of is the section behind the model, showing what appears to be the beginning of a housing estate, roads but no buildings. This is probably a personal view but this part of the image detracts from its overall vision. Perhaps if that area had fields or some trees the overall appearance would be better. I will say that this only a small detraction from what is otherwise a pleasing result and a very good portrayal of an attractive model.
